Remember this? Found this buried in some mothballs.......
So........welcome back! It's been a very long time & I'm semi-awake & rather "green" so hopefully this will not be too rambling. Lengthy perhaps........
....like my penis.
A lot has changed in the world of the DLMC, & GTA V in general. We finally witnessed the release of the Heists Missions, the game moved on up to the next-gen consoles, & the landscape of GTA Online has changed with each update R* releases.
As far as the MC community, the changes have been just as profound. While my playing time has reduced to next-to-nothing (which will be explained later), I have still kept tabs on everything via the Social Club. Our old, long-time rivals, the Reapers Chapter MC (RCMC), are no longer, as the MC has consolidated into the PSN Chapter, now making them a PSN exclusive crew. We here at the DLMC have seen many come & go, & some that still remain loyal to the Death Lords MC after all this time. The MC community, as a whole, is still thriving to a certain degree as many other MC crews still battle it out in Team Deathmatches & routinely war it out daily on the streets of Los Santos & beyond.
The DLMC? We have become the Wild Hogs of GTA V.
For those who do not know what I'm referencing, Wild Hogs was a movie released in 2007 that starred such actors as John Travolta & Tim Allen. The story revolved around four men who decide to get together on weekends & ride, pretending to be a gang they called "Wild Hogs".
Sooooooooooo, with that out of the way, let me explain........
There are a lot of reasons why the DLMC has been inactive, & all these reasons tie into one thing: real life. Some of us have more important things going on in our lives like work, children, & social activities. Some of us have the inability to consistently obtain Internet & are unable to play, some of us can't afford Xbox Live at the moment, some of us have just simply decided to move on to other games. These are all real valid reasons, & the reason why we strayed away from the conventional MC format of kicking people due to inactivity. Shit biscuit, if we were kicking people for inactivity, the whole crew (save for one or two members who continue to rep DLMC on at least a semi-consistent basis) would be booted, & that would even include me!
But we don't.
We may not be playing every night like back in the old days, we may be off the radar due to lack of presence, we just may be the Wild Hogs.....the guys who occasionally throw on our leather jackets & get together for a weekend ride. We are one thing, however, that separates us from the rest of the MC community: loyal. We've stuck by each other, & we've stuck with our beliefs. We know we're not the war mongering crew, especially like we were in the days of battling the RCMC & such. We know we are off the radar in regards to notoriety. We even know that we don't necessarily have the best shooters, the best K/D ratio, or even the merest presence. We don't send out "push out" messages, we don't strive to be the best MC in GTA V, hell, you can even argue that we're not really a MC, just a bunch of dudes who get together, throw on that familiar patch, & simply ride around...just like the guys in Wild Hogs. Guess what, we're cool with that. We accept who we are & we're together for one reason: to have fun.
With that out of the way, it would be nice to try to set a firm day for us to attempt to get together. Just one day out of the week so we can throw on those jackets & earn ourselves some money, have a little fun. We are leaning towards Sundays as the best day since it appears to be the day that the most people tend to be online. If by an act of God that you guys actually read this, try to make this day available at all costs.
This patch still resembles a lot of things: history, memories, fun times with cool people. No matter how inactive we may be, the Death Lords MC will always exist. We have always preached loyalty & brotherhood above all, & will continue to adhere to those principles. If you crave more war, a crew that plays on an active basis, or enjoy lobby hunting, I wish you well in your future endeavors but we're not that crew. There are thousands of MC crews you can join if you desire those things out of a MC.
One more thing......keep on the lookout for Prospects. Our Prospects Chapter has actually paid dividends for us in recent time & has earned us a couple of good members. Make sure to guide them to the Rules & Regulations on this very forum before enrolling in order for anybody interested to understand how we operate.
I would also like to obtain a list of all members who have a Xbox One as well as the 360 so I can figure out who has access to what.
Until next time,
