Good morning! For those who are old-timers, welcome back. For those who are new to this forum, welcome!
There's been a lot of hustle & bustle recently within the Death Lords MC & with new Prospects joining in the fray & a couple OGs making their long-awaited returns, I figured now would be the best time to give everybody an update with recent happenings.
So without further ado, let's get right to it!
Next-Gen Moves
DLMC President JohnnyFake finally obtained himself a Xbox One, which means that our time on the streets of Los Santos & Blaine County have mainly been on the One. As some of you may remember, my last post was a checklist to see who owned what system in order to gauge availability.
So now we've become mainly next-gen, which is awesome. However, this has left a very small group of members who are, for lack of a better term, "stranded" on the Xbox 360. Johnny & myself will work together to try to make some time for appearances on the 360 for those dedicated members who have yet to be able to make the move to the One.
Hierarchy Changes
As of this post, we currently have 19 members, along with a few promising Prospects, & with each member's availability, real life (RL) situations, & other circumstances, we sometimes have to decide who rightfully deserves their "spot" within the DLMC. One thing I must stress is that with any promotion, demotion, or kicking of said crew members, it's never done with any personal grudges or malicious thought. It's moves that are made with the best interest of the crew in mind.
Toff was promoted to Lieutenant for his continuing activity on the 360, a promotion that's extra meaningful due to the recent limited activity on the 360. Despite these sudden changes, Toff has continued to raise the DLMC flag proudly, & we hope to schedule ourselves a time to join him on the system that we started on.
Doom was also promoted to Lieutenant for his continuous activity on the One, as well as introducing us to our most recent group of Prospects. His hard work has given us a great shot in the arm & his work has been greatly appreciated.
Our new Lieutenants have been joined up with Belasko, a true OG in every sense of the word. A member of the DLMC since November 2013, Belasko has recently came back from well over one year of inactivity (due to RL issues) & has been back on the streets, riding & raising hell close to every day since his return. Due to his status as an OG & his continued activity since his return, Johnny has placed Belasko back in the Lieutenant role that he once held.
Of course, with every promotion & accolade comes the time where eventually we have to let people go, & this recent group of changes was no different, as we had to bid adieu to Countryboy & Freebird. I'll provide a brief reason for each ex-member, since both were long-time DLMC members from back in the day.
Countryboy was always the same guy: a cool dude but never a crew dude. He rarely involved himself with any activities & rarely accepted invites from other crew members, preferring to play with others or roll by himself. He also had been reprimanded in the past for DLMC rule violations, including the use of tanks for trolling purposes. The final nail in the coffin came when his Xbox account was affected with technical problems & he ended up purchasing a PS4. The DLMC has been an Xbox-only crew for quite some time & with nobody being able to confirm his activity on the PS4 & Countryboy himself not providing any updates on the Social Club, we felt that there was no other choice but to wish him well in his future endeavors.
Freebird, in many ways, fell under the same problems as Countryboy: a cool dude but not a crew dude. Freebird always marched to the beat of his own drummer & always did what he wanted. This isn't necessarily a bad thing: as Freebird always stated, his belief is that when you obtain GTA V, you have the ability to play the game however you want, with no rules attached. From a real life standpoint, I completely agree with him & it's a point that's impossible to argue. However, you have to separate real life from GTA life & when it came to GTA life, Freebird had always continued to violate one of the main rules of the DLMC: he adamantly refused to wear his patch. I support Freebird's beliefs that you shouldn't have to be told how to play your game, but he knowingly was in a MC that, like every other MC, has a set list of rules. This, combined with his inactivity, led to his dismissal from the DLMC.
Free Aim vs. Assisted Aim
For the first year or so of the DLMC's existence, we were an assisted aim crew. One day, a rival MC called us out & challenged us to a TDM (Team Deathmatch) in Free Aim. Ever since that day, we have been a free aim crew & continue to adhere to those beliefs. My personal beliefs are as follows: I don't have a problem with either mode when we're just fucking around, doing missions, etc. At the end of the day, though, when we get together on Sundays for Church/Rides, these meetings will take place in a Free Aim lobby. Free Aim is beneficial for a couple of reasons:
1. Free Aim missions provide more money & RP than Assisted Aim missions.
2. Free Aim allows for everybody to improve their marksmanship & playing skills, since everything falls on the player.
3. In the world of GTA V & the MC community, Free Aim is the prominent choice of play.
We will not kick or punish anybody for continuing to play in Assisted Aim at any other time, but when Sundays come around & the invites are sent to gather everybody for the ride, at that point you'll have to cope with Free Aim. Besides, regardless of playing mode, you should be accepting those invites on Sundays anyways.
Activity
Unlike a lot of GTA MC crews, the DLMC is very lenient when it comes to activity. Everybody has real lives & that comes first before any video games & we will continue to adhere to those beliefs. There, however, is a difference between somebody who can't afford Internet or has children & employment to tend to first, & somebody that just refuses to accept game invites. With that in mind, we will be keeping an eye out for those who are truly unable to play & those who are unwilling to play. One of our rules states that if you're on GTA Online, you are to accept a game invite in case of needed assistance during a MC war or assistance with any other DLMC related tasks. If you''re playing another game, I will not force you to quit your game to hop on GTA, but if you're obviously on GTA Online, prepare yourselves to be on the lookout for any game invites.
I'm sure there's many more things to discuss but that can be done during our rides. Please keep in mind that EVERY Sunday at 7:00 PM (Central Standard Time-United States), we have Church/Ride. Unless real life gets in the way (& we understand if that happens) we expect all crew members & Prospects to be on around that time. For those on the 360, as stated before, we are working on accommodating a good get-together time.
I will end this post with links that everybody should bookmark. These are our main means of communication for news/updates/etc....:
