Good morning! (It's currently morning in my neck of the woods)
It's been quite a while since the last posting so I decided to dust the cobwebs off the forum & entertain everybody with some morning updates/rambling/etc....
For those who have been on the forum before, welcome back. For those new to the forum, welcome! Take some time to browse the previous posts from the past & feel free to register & add your opinion/comments/concerns.
There's much to cover, so let's get to it!
State of the Death Lords MC
This last October, the Death Lords MC celebrated three years of existence on GTA Online, & what a ride it has been. I've seen MANY members come & go through the MC over the years, & I wanted to make sure to send out a special "Thank You" to everybody, including all former members of the DLMC. No matter where we stand personally, whether we're still cool or not, whether you're still playing GTA Online or not, those former members (Mermaid, Ogre, Freebird, Hitman, Boba, etc....) have helped shape the DLMC into what it is today as much as our current members & I send nothing but my full appreciation & thanks for all the great memories & everything these people have contributed to the DLMC.
For all the current members, my thanks & appreciation is increased tenfold. You guys & girls are considered true friends to me, even if we've never met in person before, & you continue to fly the DLMC flag with pride & loyalty, even as the game has become over three years old. I can only hope to continue to serve proudly as your Vice-President for many moons to come.
Of course, there has been many changes over the years. Beast & Oder created the DLMC Nomads Chapter, which houses all PC members. Beast has also been very gracious in supplying us with a brand new patch for our Prospect Chapter, which was long due for an overhaul. Speaking of our Prospect Chapter, we have experienced more of a success rate with the Prospects than ever before, & can only hope to further this success in the future.
Allies & Rivals
In the long, storied history of the Death Lords MC, we've always held true to the belief that we lay no claim to any allies or rivals. To us, unless a sit-down, peace agreement, or temporary ceasefire is declared, we ally with nobody & treat all other MC crews as rivals. This doesn't mean we waste our time lobby hunting or getting involved in pointless team deathmatches, it just means that we stand on our own & compromise for no other crew. In the past, our biggest rival was the Reapers Chapter MC (RCMC), but despite that crew still existing & with a decent amount of members, they are, for all purposes, non-existent. It would be easy to declare crews like the Outcast Reapers MC (ORMC) & the Young Guns MC (YGMC) as rivals based on their actions towards us, but the lack of care from us makes those crews passing thoughts at best. When MC crews come after you because one or two members carry around an eternal hard-on for certain DLMC members, all you can do is laugh, shake your head, & move on to the next activity. We've been used to squeaker & "try-hard" MC crews in the past, & as long as GTA Online exists, we'll be sure that many more of the same style of crews will continue to form & reign down terror through pushout messages, "patch pics", & general squeaker tendencies.
Rules & Regulations
By this point, everybody should know the DLMC Rules & Regulations by now. However, this would be a good time to refresh everybody on the main rules that MUST be followed in order to continue membership in the DLMC:
You must have DLMC as your active crew. This is not an option & arguably the biggest rule I expect everybody to follow. I check the Social Club every day & the moment I see somebody, regardless of their status in the crew, representing any other crew other than the DLMC, I will kick you. No questions asking why, no checking into the situation, nothing. I will not ask once & you will be kicked immediately.
You must own a DLMC approved bike. Unlike other MC Crews, we allow crew members to drive & use whatever vehicles they own in public lobbies. However, during ride night or whenever instructed, you must have an approved chopper ready to go. If you're not sure what bikes are on the approved list, please contact any higher-ranked member & they will be more than happy to provide you with the list.
No military vehicles are to be used during Free Mode battles. I have stated numerous times that we're a MC crew, not the military. If you want to fly around in a jet or a Buzzard for shits & giggles or use said vehicles for quick transportation (missions, MC work, CEO work, etc....), I'm OK with that. The moment you start trolling randoms via excessive killing or break out said military vehicles during ANY battle, you will have to answer to myself & Johnny. This leads to demotion & possible removal from the crew.
Activity
The DLMC has always been real lenient in regards to activity. We understand that everybody has real life shit going on & that takes place before any video game. With that being said, Johnny & I do take each individual inactivity case into account. There's a big difference between not being able to play due to legit reasons (no internet, school, work, kids, etc......) & being on your Xbox playing other games while others are active, especially on ride night. Also, please refrain from making commitments to ride nights or get-togethers unless you know for sure you'll be able to attend. We've had incidents in the past where members say they'll be on, only for them to never show up or us find out that they're playing a different game with their other buddies. Those type of actions will ensure you a possible departure from the DLMC.
Complaints/Concerns
This last Sunday, we sadly had to let one of our longest standing members go due to hostilities displayed towards Johnny, which had been building up for some time. During this former crew member's outburst, he made some statements that somewhat rang true for certain members, as they have shared some of the sentiments that the ex-member had brought up during said outburst. With this in mind, please allow me to retort:
There has been (with past & current members) a widely held belief that despite Johnny's title as President, I myself have been the man running the crew. In some ways, this may be true. In the past & up to this current day, I have created our own website (since shut down), provided updates via this forum, checked the Social Club daily, have accepted the role of "peace negotiator" (otherwise known as "Jimmy Carter"), so on & so on. A huge majority of decisions made on behalf of the club were from my own suggestions/ideas. Plus, we all know that Johnny can be a real asshole at times (Love you, Johnny!) & sometimes he can take it to absurd levels with the roasting & insults.
With this being said, the brutal truth is that Johnny is President & that's the way it is. If you're in the DLMC, you already know how Johnny can be & if you're really THAT bothered by Johnny, the door is always open for you to leave. There's absolutely no need to act like a whinebag & bitch & moan about it the way our former member did this last Sunday, no matter if any statements he made were agreed upon by other members.
As far as Johnny goes, my personal feelings are as such: I love all my DLMC brothers & sisters, but Johnny is my brother from another mother. I have rode side by side with this man since the beginning (he was a Representative when I joined the crew) & I couldn't see myself having it any other way. I consider this man a best friend. Is he an asshole? Of course, he is! He may be an asshole, but he's my asshole. Have I agreed with every decision he has made for the DLMC? Absolutely not! However, Johnny has had more than enough respect for me & my position that he, to this day, still talks things over with me before making a final decision. Whether it's because we have such a great relationship, or because he knows that I'm one of the very few to trade verbal barbs with him, I have not personally dealt with any of his "asshole tendencies".
With that being said, here's the deal: if anybody has ANY complaints/concerns/opinions/etc..., PLEASE message myself, Johnny, or any other high-ranking member. Please refrain from using the DLMC Group Chat on Facebook to air out major issues. If anybody has any issues with Johnny himself, please bring those to my attention & I will talk to Johnny personally. There are much better options to air our grievances than what occurred this last Sunday.
I think I'm done for now! I'm sure there's many more things to talk about, but I'll leave it here for now. Everybody enjoy the holidays & I hope to see you boys & girls out in San Andreas enjoying the freshly fallen snow!
