All opinions are that of themister420 & do not necessarily reflect the opinions of the Death Lords MC.
Hey, gang!
Remember this forum? Probably not, unless your name is Johnny, Belasko, or possibly Dimesac and/or Ogre.
Back in the day, this forum was one of the main spots to go for all our DLMC news & updates. Of course, this wouldn't really apply nowadays, given the lack of active members.
So......what do I say here?
Well.....Johnny reached out to everybody about having one ride a month that would have all crew members involved (we would still maintain our regular Friday night schedule). Nobody bothered to reply or respond.
So.....let's see where we stand at the moment.
As of this writing (including myself), we have 15 patched members. Let's analyze these members & their current status. Please remember that this is of my opinion only & based on what I know & have been informed of.
The "Main Four" of the DLMC is Johnny, myself, Doom, & Voodoo. We are the four that are on the most & provide the most consistent attendance on ride nights.
Toff occasionally will attend on ride nights, but by the time we start getting together, it's about 2-3 AM Toff's time. This is something Toff is not at fault for.
Belasko will pop in from time to time, though not as much as Toff. However, he has children to take care of & is pretty much the primary caretaker of said children on Friday nights.
Dimesac will pop in every once in a while, but his frequency has been much less recently than Toff or Belasko. He does check up with me to inquire about ride nights & has a lot of IRL stuff he always has to tend to.
Ogre & his old lady (LadyBast) both work 3rd shift on Friday nights so any chances of them riding with us (which was slim to none previously) are now pretty much zero.
Space is officially AWOL. Given his young age (I believe he's now 15 or something close to that), we assume it's due to school activities and/or his parents restricting him from any online gaming.
LovelyFoal has been AWOL for at least 3 years or so. The last time I talked to him, he was working two jobs & had little time for himself & his family, let alone being online.
BeastStyle & Body Oder (DLMC co-founders) technically shouldn't even be in the crew due to them not having Xbox systems anymore. They did start up a DLMC Nomads Chapter (with Johnny & myself's permission) for PC players & are still in the DLMC purely due to respect for them forming the club we are still a part of today.
Nervy's last appearance (also the last appearance of Space) was on our anniversary ride last October. He then resumed his AWOL status. He is working on a boat, which takes away gaming time, & is very inconsistent with either having an Xbox, Xbox Live, or even a copy of GTA. He also is known for his party lifestyle, which also may contribute to his AWOL status.
This leaves Gypsy. It's pretty common knowledge at this point that Toff & Gypsy had split up some time ago. Gypsy (in a conversation with me) mentioned about leaving the crew (Johnny & I decided on not kicking her) not only due to not wanting to create any awkwardness, but her own admittance that she just wasn't into the game anymore. In addition to that, it had been reported to me that long before the split, she was already dreading ride nights & not really wanting to participate anymore. This makes Gypsy AWOL, with some of the reasons valid & some of the reasons not so acceptable.
So......what does this all mean?
Honestly, it doesn't really mean anything at this point. As a whole, we've been so inactive that nobody has even entertained the thought of kicking anybody out of the crew. Fuck, if we were actually assholes & still followed that old, dusty MC rulebook we adhered to for so many years, the only members left would be myself, Johnny, Doom, & Voodoo. Even then, we have had IRL stuff come up that has prevented us from attending every single Friday night so we are just as guilty of inactivity as the rest of us, though we are the four that continues to strive to ride every Friday night.
Let's think about this as well: GTA V (as well as our crew) will be six years old this October. That's a long ass time to commit to one game. I'm sure a lot of people are just generally burned out on the game in general.
Is there a way to fix this problem? Not really. Friday nights is the only night that Johnny can hold the rides due to his schedule. Sunday nights are out of the question as a lot of us have to be at work the next morning.
So....what do we do?
All we can do is keep doing what we're doing.
The crew will never die, despite the inactivity. We've been around for this long & will continue to do so. We've always prided ourselves on being a family & that will not change. Sometimes, family members don't get to see each other or talk with each other all the time. We're no different. We've seen so many people come & go through our MC & I'm personally blessed to still be a part of this family after all these years.
It would be awesome to see everybody else make time out of their schedules to get on for one huge ride one night, but I'm not holding my breath. Our real lives, plus the obvious lack of fucks given towards Johnny's suggestion, makes this pretty much impossible. This doesn't diminish the love I have for everybody, nor am I (to quote Johnny) trying to throw shade on anybody. It is what it is.
We may not be around much anymore, but the Death Lords MC will be around forever.
